Areva T&D India has bagged two contracts worth Rs 290 crore from Essar Projects. The company said the scope of the contracts includes supply and installation of electrical balance of plant solutions for two thermal power projects being set up by Essar Projects – a 1,200 MW project at Tori, Jharkhand and a 120 MW project at Paradip, Orissa.
Areva T&D will manufacture and install a 400 kV Gas Insulated Substation and 220 kV Air Insulated substation, as well as distribution and power transformers and low voltage switchboards, for the projects, it added.
