L&T Construction has got order worth Rs 1,071 crore from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation. The order is to install transmission line of 274 km. The order was placed by Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited to supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 400 kV double circuit quad line for a total length of 274 km in Tamil Nadu. The order involves turnkey construction along with supply of towers, conductors, insulators, etc. The project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.
The company also bagged another turnkey order from the Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. for carrying out rural electrification works in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidutikaran Yojna Phase-II.
