Wire Southeast Asia 2015
The 11th edition of the Wire Southeast Asia is going to be held from 16 to 18 September 2015 at the Bangkok Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). This is yet another platform for industry players to meet and to leverage on the rising market opportunities brought about by robust industrial and manufacturing developments across the world. The show is organized by Messe Duesseldorf Asia Pte Ltd in conjunction with the show Tube Southeast Asia.
The Wire Southeast Asia 2015 will feature a range of innovative machinery in wire manufacturing and finishing, fasteners and springs, etc. New processes in measuring control and test engineering and specialist areas, as well as new and upgraded tools and auxiliary materials in process engineering and rod materials will also be showcased at both synergistic trade fairs.

Maillefer is participating in the Wire Southeast Asia 2015 and will be seen exhibiting at Booth G18. Rosendahl Nextrom GmbH
For special cables in aerospace, railway and oil pump applications
High-tech applications require high performance materials. And high performance materials demand high-tech process technology. Rosendahl has developed a new technology that optimally processes sensitive materials, such as PEEK.
Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a high temperature thermoplastic and belongs to the group of Polyaryletherketones. The material’s special characteristics are required in many industries such as aviation and aerospace, automotive, oil production, and high voltage technology. PEEK has a melting point of 335°C, which is a challenge for cable production. The material is highly temperature sensitive and allows only small processing latitude. This requires quite different line and screw geometry compared to other materials.
Rosendahl has developed a PEEK-specific extrusion line that supports the special material properties while processing at perfect and constant temperature with low shear-rate. Rosendahl has configured its ROEX extruder and its RX crosshead to precisely meet these exact requirements. The outstanding results are setting new standards in special cable production. Rosendahl’s PEEK extrusion line supports single and double layer applications.

The company will be launching their revolutionary VNT – Vitrified nanocrystalline Technology for Dies & Tools, which is a completely new concept for wire drawing & compacting, provides more wear resistance, have an extremely smooth surface finish with immensely low friction. We offer VNT dies for a range of 0.800 mm to 70 mm for copper, aluminium, aluminium alloy, stainless or carbon steel wire, provide a 2% to 3% improvement in raw material use for metal savings, it holds 0 tolerance for up to 500 metric tons (stainless steel and carbon steel wire up to 0.6%C at a price that is are 2-10 times lower than PCD dies (depending on bore diameter).

PWM at Wire Southeast Asia
British company PWM, which has been at the forefront of cold pressure welding technology for more than 30 years, will present its comprehensive range of high-performance manual cold welders at wire Southeast Asia 2015 (stand J11).
The versatile M101 will be the largest machine on show. A heavy-duty manual cold welder for joining non-ferrous wire, strip and profile within the range 1.00mm to 5.00mm, the M101 is one of PWM’s best-selling models. Durable, simple to operate and easy to maintain, the M101 can be used on a workbench or supplied with a trolley, enabling the operator to move it to the work area.
The BM10 and BM30 models are durable, low maintenance machines which provide a reliable weld on non-ferrous wire and strip 0.10mm to 1.80mm diameter. Light hand pressure on the operating lever completes the weld in seconds.
