The company eyes INR 100 crore sales in three years from data cables.

Salzer Electronics plans to invest about Rs. 20 crore in a project to manufacture data cables in 2018-2019, according to a top company official. The company has the technology (to make data cables) as it is already into production of cables and wires. The company hopes to clock sales to the tune of Rs. 100 crore in three years from this product.

Salzer, which supplies products to infrastructure, power, renewable and real estate sectors had invested Rs. 60 crore over the last two years and would invest another Rs. 25 crore in the next financial year. Of this, a major portion would be earmarked for the data cable production facility.

The company is targeting to achieve total revenue of Rs. 460 crore this financial year, 20 % higher than last year.
