Power Grid Secured Rampur Sambhal Transmission Project in UP

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has announced the commissioning of the POWERGRID Rampur Sambhal Transmission project, UP.

On March 30, 2023, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited announced the commissioning of the POWERGRID Rampur Sambhal Transmission project of UP. The project mandates the construction of a 765/400/220 kV GIS substation at Rampur, and a 400/220/132 kV GIS substation at Sambhal, to build a ‘build, own, operate, and maintain’ (BOOM) transmission system.

The project will be led by POWERGRID Rampur Sambhal Transmission Limited, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation, as secured through an intra-state tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB).
