Tunisia is experiencing an increase in domestic demand for high-speed connectivity. In October 2022, Ooredoo Tunisia entered into a partnership with PCCW Global to connect to the PEACE submarine cable, scheduled for commissioning in 2024. The new infrastructure will provide an additional route of several fiber pairs, each with a 20 TB capacity, enabling Tunisian telecom operators, especially Orange Tunisia, to meet customers’ demands and connect people across the nation, including “white spaces” residents with no mobile coverage.
