Bajel Projects has commissioned a key 400kV transmission line in Andhra Pradesh, strengthening grid reliability and supporting rising power demand.

Bajel Projects has successfully charged and commissioned the 400kV Ananthpuram–Kurnool double-circuit transmission line in Andhra Pradesh, with the line officially energized on December 26, 2025.

The project, part of an ISTS-TBCB scheme awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India through its subsidiary Powergrid Ananthpuram Kurnool Transmission, enhances the regional power corridor between the Ananthpuram and Kurnool districts. The line connects the Ananthpuram Pooling Station to the Kurnool-III Pooling Station, improving grid stability and capacity.

As part of the execution, Bajel Projects completed the erection of 222 high-tension towers and strung conductors across 171 circuit kilometers. The company said the milestone underscores its engineering capabilities and reinforces its role in supporting India’s national power grid modernization efforts.
