Emsteel signs three landmark deals, including a USD 37 million investment to build a new wire-rod line and expand into low-CO₂ steel.

Emsteel, the UAE’s largest domestic steelmaker, has announced three strategic agreements aimed at boosting capacity, sustainability and regional reach. The company is investing USD 37 million with UK-based Primetals Technologies to build a new wire-rod line at its Abu Dhabi plant and modernise its rolling mills.

A second partnership with Belgium’s Bekaert will jointly develop low-CO₂ wire-rod grades, targeting greener downstream applications. Finally, Emsteel partnered with the Suez Canal Authority via its commercial subsidiary to supply sheet-pile steel products for infrastructure expansion in the Suez Canal Zone.
These deals advance Emsteel’s ambition to scale up premium products, drive innovation, and deepen its footprint in high-growth regional markets.
