Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) aims to construct a new INR 400 crore concentrator plant with 3 million TPA capacity at Malanjkhand, Madhya Pradesh. The company also plans to establish another 3 million TPA concentrator plant at Rekha mine, Jharkhand.

HCL plans to build a new INR 400 crore, 3 Million TPA concentrator plant at Malanjkhand, Maharashtra. This initiative aims to triple the company’s ore production capacity in the next two-three years, as per media report. Currently, the facility has a 2.5 million TPA capacity, with construction work to begin by next year.

As per reports, Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) Chairman and Managing Director Sanjiv Kumar Singh said that state-run consultancy firm Mecon is preparing a tender document and technical design for the plant which will have a capacity of 3 MTPA.
A company official stated that plans are underway to set up a new 3 MTPA concentrator plant at the Rakha mine in Jharkhand. At present, the company runs three concentrator plants: Malanjkhand in Madhya Pradesh, Ghatshila in Jharkhand, and Khetri in Rajasthan.

The state-owned enterprise aims to increase its ore production capacity from 4 MTPA to 12.2 MTPA by the year 2030–31.
