The approved cables include the RADOX® 155(S) and RADOX® Elastomer S series (types FHLR91XC13X and FHLR4GC13X, as per datasheets STD806104 and STD806686). Designed to meet the rigorous demands of marine environments, these single and multicore cables offer outstanding electrical, mechanical, and chemical performance. Their robust construction includes bare copper conductors, RADOX® insulation, electromagnetic shielding, and a high-durability RADOX® Elastomer S outer sheath.

Certified for operating voltages of up to 1500 V DC / 1000 V AC and temperatures ranging from -40°C to +130°C for up to 50,000 hours, these cables are suited for a wide range of onboard applications. This includes battery systems, power distribution units (PDUs), AC/DC charging infrastructure, and auxiliary systems—key components in both hybrid and fully electric vessel architectures.

This DNV approval marks a crucial step forward, offering shipbuilders and marine system integrators a reliable, standards-compliant solution for high-voltage electrification. The certification also affirms the cables’ compliance with international standards such as ISO 19642-9 Class D and IEC 60332-1-2, ensuring enhanced fire safety, UV stability, and weather resistance.
