WCI: International trade fairs play a crucial role in shaping industry collaborations. How do platforms like WIRE Düsseldorf help Indian manufacturers connect with global markets and customers?
JK: This is one of the biggest trade shows for wire in the world and we have been exhibiting in it since 1996. It’s a great place to meet existing and potential customers. However, in present times, competition is rampant with more sellers than buyers. This platform gives a choice to the buyer to meet suppliers who align with their needs.
WCI: From your participation at WIRE Düsseldorf, what key global market insights are you hoping to gain and bring back to strengthen India’s wire and cable manufacturing ecosystem?
JK: From machinery to the latest technologies, everything is on display here. Beyond selling products to targeted markets, Wire Düsseldorf offers the full spectrum of solutions needed to stay relevant in the industry ecosystem.
WCI: Over the years, how have you seen India’s representation evolve at international trade fairs, and how do you contribute to strengthening India’s image as a global engineering hub?
JK: From a few Indian companies exhibiting in 1996 to now around 100 companies, the event has expanded over the years. We, as sellers in this exhibition, have the necessary technology, the competitive advantage and the will to work. These factors combined ensure our success to future leadership.

India is central to the global manufacturing strategy and is strongly positioned as a high-growth hub for the wire and cable sector.
WCI: What core Indian manufacturing strengths differentiate you on the global stage? For what turnkey solutions is the world looking at India?
JK: We are a small family-owned stainless steel wire manufacturing company. Our promoters are full time involved in the business. We have over 45 years of experience, and dedicate ourselves to fulfilling the needs of our customers. We don’t play the bulk game and offer our expertise in particular products.
WCI: Which international regions do you see as strategic growth markets, and how is India positioned as your global manufacturing base to support these expansions?
JK: I think the entire world is our market. Currently we export to over 50 countries in 6 continents. India is central to our global manufacturing strategy and is strongly positioned as a high-growth hub for the wire and cable sector. The country offers a strong industrial ecosystem, a skilled engineering talent pool, and a cost-competitive manufacturing environment, enabling us to scale wire and cable production efficiently while maintaining global quality standards. At the same time, India’s diverse operating conditions allow us to develop, test, and refine robust, application-specific solutions. This strengthens our local as well as export capabilities, positioning India as a strategic manufacturing hub for serving both emerging and developed markets and supporting our wire and cable expansion worldwide.

WCI: How are cost pressures across raw materials, energy, or logistics being managed without compromising product reliability or compliance?
JK: Logistics is a huge cost pressure to the Indian companies. Until the country’s infrastructure is not upgraded to world class levels, we, as manufacturers ,will have a big disadvantage in terms of distribution and supply chain management.
WCI: How are sustainability expectations from customers or regulators translating into changes in product design, manufacturing practices, or material choices?
JK: Our product does not fall in the design category. However, we are trying to reduce our carbon footprint in each process or operations.
