Prime Cable Industries receives BIS approval to upgrade its manufacturing licence, enabling production of power cables up to 33 kV, catering to infrastructure requirements.

Prime Cable Industries Limited has received approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for the updation of its existing BIS licence, allowing the company to manufacture cables with capacities ranging from 3.3 kV up to and including 33 kV.

In a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations, the company informed that the approval was granted on December 17, 2025. The licence pertains to the manufacturing of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated, PVC sheathed cables for electricity supply purposes at its Neemrana, Rajasthan facility.

The approval strengthens Prime Cable Industries’ manufacturing capabilities and enables it to cater to higher-voltage power distribution and infrastructure requirements.
