Rail Vikas Nigam Limited has won a INR 180.78-crore order to upgrade traction and overhead electrification infrastructure in the UTR–MWP section of Lucknow division.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for a major railway electrification contract awarded by North Eastern Railway, valued at INR 180.78 crore. The scope includes design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of OHE modification and feeder wire work for a 2×25 kV traction system. The project covers the UTR–MWP section spanning 184 route kilometres (RKM) and 368 track kilometres (TKM) in the Lucknow division and will be completed within 24 months.

The contract strengthens RVNL’s core position in railway infrastructure and further contributes to its growing order book.
