Wire & Cable India: What will you showcase at WIRE Düsseldorf to highlight India’s technological capabilities and manufacturing excellence to a global audience?

Sidharth Agrawal: At WIRE Düsseldorf, we are showcasing how Indian manufacturing has moved well beyond scale and cost competitiveness into technology, consistency, and reliability.

Our focus is on high-performance galvanized wires, Galvasys (zinc aluminium alloy coated wires), specialty coatings and fibre optic cables solutions that meet global standards for power, telecom, and infrastructure applications.

What we want global customers to see is that Indian manufacturers today are capable of delivering precision-engineered products, stable quality across large volumes, and long-term performance in demanding environments. For us, WIRE is not just about products- it’s about demonstrating India’s capability to be a dependable global manufacturing partner. We would like to invite all at the Hall 9/ Booth-9A77 to experience these capabilities first hand.

WCI: International trade fairs play a crucial role in shaping industry collaborations. How do platforms like WIRE Düsseldorf help Indian manufacturers connect with global markets and customers?

SA: Platforms like WIRE Düsseldorf are extremely important because they bring the entire global value chain under one roof from machine manufacturers, raw material suppliers to OEMs, EPC contractors, and technology providers.

For Indian manufacturers, this creates direct access to decision-makers, helps us understand evolving customer expectations, and allows us to position ourselves as long-term partners rather than transactional suppliers. These fairs also help build trust-when customers can see the product, meet the team, and understand manufacturing depth, it accelerates collaboration and market entry.

WCI: From your participation at WIRE Düsseldorf, what key global market insights are you hoping to gain and bring back to strengthen India’s wire and cable manufacturing ecosystem?

SA: One key insight we look for is how global customers are redefining performance and expectations, especially for power transmission, telecom, and infrastructure products.

We also closely observe trends around corrosion protection, material optimization, sustainability benchmarks, and digital traceability. Bringing these insights back helps Indian manufacturers align investments, upgrade processes, and stay globally competitive.

The idea is not just to adopt global practices, but to adapt them efficiently for Indian manufacturing strengths.

WCI: Over the years, how have you seen India’s representation evolve at international trade fairs, and how do you contribute to strengthening India’s image as a global engineering hub?

SA: At Systematic, we have been active participants at Wire Dusseldorf for more than 20 years. We strongly feel it’s a great platform to have one to one connect & personal touch which is very important in today’s digital world.

India’s presence has evolved significantly. Earlier, Indian companies were largely seen as cost-driven suppliers. Today, we are increasingly viewed as technology-driven manufacturers with strong engineering depth and execution capability.

WCI: What core Indian manufacturing strengths differentiate you on the global stage? For what turnkey solutions is the world looking at India?

SA: India’s biggest strengths lie in engineering talent, manufacturing flexibility, integrated supply chains, and scalability.

Globally, customers are increasingly looking at India for turnkey solutions- whether it is complete wire solutions for fencing and agriculture, transmission-ready conductors and OPGW systems, or customized wire products for infrastructure and automotive applications.

India offers a unique combination of technical capability and adaptability, which allows faster customization without compromising quality.

WCI: Technology partnerships and acquisitions are critical today. How are Indo-global collaborations helping reinforce India’s engineering leadership?

SA: With the current free trade pact with EU & other countries, it is going to change the global supply chain in years to come. Indo-global collaborations play a crucial role in accelerating learning and innovation. Technology partnerships, joint developments, and selective acquisitions help Indian companies bridge capability gaps faster, adopt advanced processes, and meet emerging global standards.

These collaborations are no longer one-sided. Indian manufacturers today bring manufacturing excellence, cost-efficient execution, and scale, while global partners contribute niche technologies and market access. Together, this strengthens India’s position as a global engineering leader.

WCI: Which international regions do you see as strategic growth markets, and how is India positioned as your global manufacturing base to support these expansions?

SA: We see strong growth opportunities in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and parts of Latin America, driven by investments in power transmission, telecom networks, and infrastructure modernization. The USA of course will remain to be the top market due to its demand.

India is well-positioned as a global manufacturing base because of its robust industrial ecosystem, skilled workforce, improving logistics infrastructure, and policy support for exports . From India, we can efficiently support diverse markets with consistent quality and competitive timelines.

WCI: How are cost pressures across raw materials, energy, or logistics being managed without compromising product reliability or compliance?

SA: Cost pressures are a global challenge today, whether related to raw materials, energy, or logistics. We manage this through process optimization, backward integration where possible, energy-efficient operations, and long-term supplier partnerships.

At the same time, there is no compromise on product reliability, testing protocols, or compliance standards . Cost efficiency comes from smarter operations, not from cutting corners. That mindset is critical to sustaining global trust.

WCI: How are sustainability expectations from customers or regulators translating into changes in product design, manufacturing practices, or material choices?

SA: Sustainability is increasingly becoming a customer expectation rather than a regulatory requirement alone . This is translating into changes such as improved coating technologies for longer life cycles, reduced material wastage, energy-efficient manufacturing, and responsible sourcing.

Our focus is on designing products that last longer in service, reduce maintenance needs, and minimize environmental impact over their full lifecycle. Sustainability, for us, is closely linked with quality and durability.
