Torrent Electricals has unveiled plans to invest more than INR 1,000 crore in its newly launched housing wire division over the coming years. The investment aims to scale up production capacity and broaden the company’s distribution footprint.

The company recently introduced its housing wire products in Gujarat and is set to roll them out in other states in a phased manner. This expansion aligns with the increasing demand for electricity, including from renewable energy sources, which is propelling growth in the housing wire segment.
According to CEO Sachin Phartiyal, the company will allocate the money across manufacturing expansion, quality assurance systems, distribution networks, and brand-building initiatives.

Torrent Electricals’ foray into the housing wire sector is part of its larger strategy to capitalise on the rapid growth in urban housing and infrastructure development across the country.
