Turkiye-based copper wire manufacturer Mega Metal A.Ş. is setting its foot in North America with the establishment of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in South Carolina worth USD 34 million.

To be set up at 364 Blue Granite Parkway in Ridgeway town of Fairfield County in an area of 91,000-square-foot, the plant will have an annual manufacturing capacity of 55 million pounds of superfine electrolytic oxygen-free (EOF) copper wire. It is expected to start operations in September 2025.
Mega Metal Inc Board Chairman Cuneyt Turgut said the investment in Fairfield County was not just a manufacturing milestone, but a reflection of the company’s long-term commitment to the North American market.

The investment aimed at positioning Mega Metal as a key player in the US supply chain, offering strategic support to high-demand industries across the continent, he added.
