UltraTech Cement has appointed Himanshu Desai as Head of Production for LT Power Cables, strengthening its cables business leadership.

UltraTech Cement Limited has appointed Himanshu Desai as Head of Production for Low Tension (LT) Power Cables. The appointment was shared by Desai through a recent LinkedIn post and comes as UltraTech continues to scale its presence in the cables and wires segment.

Desai is a Mechanical Engineer from Savitribai Phule Pune University, graduating in 1996, and holds a Diploma in Business Management from Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, completed in 1998.

He began his professional career in 2001 with Usha Martin Limited, where he worked for six years as Senior Executive. In 2009, he joined KEI Industries, spending over 16 years in multiple leadership roles, including Assistant General Manager and Deputy General Manager.

Desai’s appointment follows UltraTech Cement’s formal entry into the cables and wires industry announced in February 2025.
