Windak, will introduce the brand new MultiCoiler MC260 in 3 packaging configurations, and will also present the AutoLoader AL60, a semi-automatic take-up system designed for extrusion lines, jacketing lines, and master reel operations.
Mar 16, 2026

Windak, a global specialist in automated cable packaging solutions, will exhibit at WIRE 2026 in Düsseldorf at Stand 10A22, presenting two new innovations aligned with the company’s Windak’s WIRE 2026 theme: ONE WIND, ONE WORLD, ONE WINDAK.
This year’s presence highlights Windak’s continued focus on smarter, more sustainable and efficient cable packaging, built around real production challenges faced by cable manufacturers worldwide.

Under the theme, Windak brings its global team and customers together around one shared goal: smarter cable packaging through innovation, teamwork, and long-term partnerships. At WIRE 2026, Windak will introduce the brand new MultiCoiler MC260, designed for cable manufacturers who demand high-speed performance, flexible and more sustainable packaging in one automated solution.
The fully automatic MultiCoiler MC260 is designed to outperform alternatives by combining flexibility, compact footprint, easy setup and automation. It is available in 3 packaging configurations:
MC260 Eco: coil-in-a-box solution; MC260 Smart : integrated stretch-wrapping system; and MC260 Smart+ : tuck-under solution – a self-retained cable end.
It has advanced tension control through a modern servo-pneumatic horizontal accumulator, supporting stable, high-output processing even for thin cable types. The configurable coil OD and ID sizes, enabling easy adaptation of product specifications to different local market and packaging requirements. It is designed for left-to-right or right-to-left operation, supporting flexible line design and plant layout requirements.
The MC260 addresses key coiling challenges by combining advanced cable handling with sophisticated tension control system to ensure uniform coil packages, reduce tangling, and improve output on thin cable diameters.
Windak will also present the AutoLoader AL60, a semi-automatic take-up system designed for extrusion lines, jacketing lines, and master reel operations. For cable plants struggling with heavy manual reel handling and unpredictable changeovers, the Windak AL60 automates the most physically demanding steps — loading, positioning, and unloading of several-ton reels, transferring that work to a fully automated loading and unloading system with a pre-set reel conveyor.
With integrated infeed and outfeed buffer conveyors, the AL60 supports both AGV-assisted and forklift-based reel handling. By eliminating heavy manual work, the AL60 protects operators from back strain and related incidents, stabilizes output across shifts, and allows different reel sizes to run in one continuous operation. Its flexible reel handling also helps use the full remaining cable length on master reels and reduces scrap.

With <1-minute reel changeovers and up to 50-100% higher output, AL60 turns heavy reel handling into a safe, consistent, and efficient part of the production flow.
Windak invites all WIRE 2026 attendees to visit Stand 10A22 to explore the latest innovations and discuss future-ready automation solutions for the wire & cable industry. The team looks forward to engaging with manufacturers, partners, and visitors, continuing the tradition of fostering growth and developing success together.
