Watch: Top Cable Companies in India
WCI: Within your core product segments, how would you characterise current demand conditions and order visibility?
RG: In our area, dosing, material conveying and drying demands are still very high. There is an increasing demand for high-quality solutions, as customer expectations regarding product quality are rising.
WCI: Within your manufacturing offerings, how do you currently assess investment sentiment among wire and cable producers, particularly in emerging markets such as India?
RG: India is an emerging industrial nation with ambitious goals in infrastructure, green energy and environmental protection. The demand for products in the cable sector is increasing.
WCI: Which customer or application requirements are currently exerting the greatest pressure to improve productivity and quality within your product range?
RG: Ease of operation and operational safety of the devices or dosing units and systems are most important. In India, the trend is also increasingly moving away from processing compounded material. With regard to long-term cost savings and manufacturer-controlled product quality, the shift is towards in-house mixing directly on the extruders, especially for foamed and cross-linked products.

WCI: Which manufacturing disciplines, automation measures, or quality-assurance practices have delivered the most tangible improvements in your yield or rework reduction?
RG: The avoidance of production waste and reproducible production processes have brought-in tangible improvements in our work. Individual planning of the systems tailored to the product to be produced helps to establish efficient and cost-conscious manufacturing.
WCI: How are sustainability and decarbonisation goals translating into practical changes at your company?
RG: This begins with the selection and monitoring of upstream suppliers and continues in the design of the equipment and systems. Energy-efficient motors and the use of low-voltage technology are measures we have implemented to ensure sustainable operations. Electric vehicles are also increasingly being used to generally drive decarbonization forward.
WCI: How are cost pressures across raw materials, energy, or logistics being managed without compromising product reliability or compliance?
RG: Here too, consistent development and training of our employees helps in compliance management and product quality. Modern manufacturing methods and well-trained employees form the foundation for well-managed operations and product reliability.
