Meta has selected Mumbai and Visakhapatnam as the landing locations in India for its multibillion-dollar subsea cable project, Waterworth, appointing Sify Technologies as its Indian landing partner under a USD 5 million contract.

Waterworth— expected to be the world’s longest subsea cable system, will link the United States, India, Brazil, and South Africa, with a projected landing in 2030. Additionally, Google too has partnered with Sify for the Indian landing of its USD 400 million Blue-Raman cable
