Meta Platforms will invest USD 1 billion to build a 700,000 sq. ft. AI data center in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, announced plans to establish a USD 1 billion artificial intelligence (AI) data center in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The 700,000-square-foot facility is slated for completion by 2027 and is expected to create around 100 full-time jobs.

As part of the initiative, Meta will also invest USD 200 million in partnership with Alliant Energy to enhance local energy infrastructure through transmission upgrades and network improvements.

The Wisconsin project forms a key component of Meta’s broader AI infrastructure expansion strategy, which includes a planned USD 600 billion investment in U.S. infrastructure by 2028. The company is concurrently developing large-scale data centers in Ohio, Texas, and Louisiana to power its next generation of AI and “superintelligence” capabilities.
