Ducab Cable Company has completed the first Extended Pre-qualification (EPQ) testing in the Middle East for a 400 kV EHV cable system rated at 105°C emergency temperature, marking a milestone in high-voltage transmission capability. The EPQ and system type testing were conducted in collaboration with Brugg Cables, along with TAQA and DEKRA.

The achievement positions Ducab as the only supplier on TAQA’s vendor list with two approved accessory partners — SEI and Brugg Cables — enhancing flexibility and resilience for Extra-High Voltage projects. TAQ is a government controlled energy holding company of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Testing was carried out in alignment with IEEE, IEC and AEIC standards, supporting Ducab’s goal to expand into the US and European markets.
