Runaya Metsource and Eckart inaugurate India’s first gas-atomised aluminium powder facility in Jharsuguda to boost domestic manufacturing ecosystem.

Runaya Metsource, in partnership with Germany-based Eckart, has launched the first phase of its aluminium powder facility in Jharsuguda, Odisha. The plant will manufacture green, spherical gas-atomised aluminium powders using advanced technology, catering to sectors such as aerospace, solar energy, and advanced materials.

The joint venture aims to reduce India’s dependence on imports while strengthening a sustainable and integrated domestic value chain. Operations are expected to scale further by the end of 2026, with strong interest already seen from industry players.
