APAR Industries is fast-tracking capacity and technology investments across cables, conductors, OPGW and fibre solutions to support India’s evolving T&D and digital infrastructure.

APAR Industries Limited is accelerating its capacity expansion programme with INR 1,500 crore of planned capex for FY2026-27, following INR 740 crore invested during FY2025-26. The company is fast-tracking a three-year cable programme to bring manufacturing capacity online ahead of the demand curve, while simultaneously pursuing debottlenecking initiatives in its conductor business. The investments are aimed at capturing opportunities emerging from renewable energy, grid modernisation, global exports and hyperscale data centres.

As part of its expansion strategy, APAR is strengthening its high-performance conductor portfolio for modern transmission networks. The company is progressing towards commercial production of coated conductors and AERO-Z conductors, while developing extra-high-conductivity and 4000/5000-series alloy products.
The company is also scaling its OPGW and reconductoring capabilities to address the growing requirements of T&D networks. APAR has completed more than 272 power-line reconductoring projects and supplied over 7,075 circuit kilometres of HTLS, while continuing to develop turnkey solutions covering HTLS reconductoring and OPGW live-line installation.
Alongside power infrastructure, APAR is expanding its presence in telecom and optical-fibre connectivity. Its Telecom Solutions business has enhanced capabilities in high-capacity fibre and specialised connectivity solutions, including submarine and drone-based applications, as well as the Kavach project for Indian Railways.

The cable expansion is further supported by APAR’s E-beam technology and irradiation capabilities. The company has been increasing the share of E-beam curing in its cable manufacturing operations, with nearly 30% of curing already migrated to E-beam technology across six operational facilities. This technology-led capacity expansion is supporting the company’s focus on high-performance, renewable-energy, speciality and safety-critical cable applications.
