UltraTech Cement Limited has commenced commercial production at its new Wires & Cables plant in Jhagadia, Gujarat, effective September 1, 2026.

The plant, located at Jhagadia, Gujarat, has an installed capacity of 1,098,000 km and will manufacture house wires and light-duty cables. The commencement marks UltraTech Cement’s entry into the wires and cables segment under its newly launched Ultravolt business.

The company had announced an investment of INR 1,800 crore for the wires and cables business, with an ambition to build a scaled national brand and become one of the top two players in the segment within five years.
