KEC International wins transmission project from Ethiopian Electric Power, expanding footprint in Africa’s growing power infrastructure market.

KEC International Ltd has signed a contract with Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) for the Prime 1 – 132 kV transmission line project in Ethiopia. The project spans approximately 170 km across three sections and aims to strengthen regional power connectivity and support the country’s expanding energy network.

The agreement was formalised with Mr. Ashebir Balcha, Chief Executive Officer, EEP.

The company said the order reinforces its commitment to developing resilient power infrastructure and expanding its presence in Africa.
