Gopalan Metals (India) Pvt. Ltd., the copper manufacturing unit of the Gopalan Group, has entered the building wires segment with the launch of its new brand, Gopalan Wires and Cables. The company is targeting residential, commercial and industrial applications with an initial portfolio comprising FR (Flame Retardant) and FRLS-H (Flame Retardant Low Smoke and Halogen) PVC house wires.

The wires are manufactured at Gopalan Metals’ facility in Hoskote, Karnataka, which has a monthly production capacity of approximately 6,000 km of building wires. The company supplies its products through electrical dealers, distributors, contractors, builders, infrastructure projects, OEMs and directly to end users across retail and institutional markets.

With the launch of Gopalan Wires and Cables, Gopalan Metals is expanding downstream from copper manufacturing into value-added electrical products, strengthening its presence across the wire and cable value chain.
