Diamond Power Infrastructure commissioned its seventh CCV-based MV/EHV cable line in Vadodara, enhancing capacity amid rising infrastructure demand.

Ahmedabad-based Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited has commissioned its seventh Medium Voltage (MV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) power cable production line at its Vadodara manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The new line is based on Continuous Catenary Vulcanisation (CCV) technology, widely regarded as an advanced global standard for manufacturing MV and EHV XLPE power cables.

The company said the commissioning marks a key milestone in its ongoing capacity expansion and technology upgradation programme. The facility caters to sectors including utilities, renewable energy, metro rail, smart cities, industrial infrastructure, data centres and underground power distribution networks.
Diamond Power further announced that three additional MV/EHV cable lines are under various stages of installation and are expected to become operational before March 31, 2027.
According to the company, increasing investments in renewable energy, transmission infrastructure, underground cabling and smart grids are expected to drive long-term demand growth for MV and EHV cables in India and global markets.

Commenting on the development, Vice President – Engineering and Projects, Nivedita Pandya said the company is strategically expanding manufacturing capabilities to capitalise on the growing demand in the power transmission and distribution sector.
