Bansal Wire’s subsidiary has signed an MoU under PLI Scheme 1.2 to invest INR 70 crore for a 70,000 TPA capacity.

Bansal Wire Industries Limited’s wholly owned unit, BWI Steel Private Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Steel under the Government of India’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme 1.2 for Specialty Steel.

Under the agreement, BWI Steel will participate in the PLI 1.2 scheme and has committed to setting up a production capacity of 70,000 tonnes per annum. BWI Steel plans to invest about INR 70 crore over FY2025-26 and FY2026-27 to establish and expand the new facilities, meet targeted production levels, and fulfil PLI scheme conditions.
