The largest investment of INR 133.59 crore is being allocated to expand the company’s low-voltage (LV) cable manufacturing capacity. The project involves upgrading the existing rod mill and conductor plant into a modern facility for 1.1 kV aluminium and copper power and control cables. Commercial production is scheduled from FY28, with installed capacity of 3,502 km per month, or 42,024 km annually.

The second project involves INR 17.03 crore for two additional aluminium corrugation lines. These lines will address the existing bottleneck in 66 kV and 132 kV cable production and enable capacity to shift from 33 kV to higher-voltage products. Commercial production is targeted for June 2027. The project is expected to generate around INR 375 crore of additional annual revenue potential. The company has also received in-principle approval for a sixth CCV line, with the purchase order targeted for August 2026 and commissioning planned before December 2027.

The capacity expansion is being undertaken at Diamond Power’s integrated 110-acre Vadodara manufacturing complex, which has 55 acres available for future expansion. The facility currently has 33,060 KMPA of cable capacity and 1,00,000 MTPA of conductor capacity. The company is also installing additional CCV and MV Silane lines and developing a new LV cable facility.
