Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd (DICABS) has received two purchase orders worth INR 195.48 crore from Rajesh Power Services Ltd for the supply of 11 kV medium-voltage underground power cables for PGVCL projects in Gujarat.

Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd has secured the orders for projects being executed by Rajesh Power Services for Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL), Gujarat’s power distribution utility. The orders cover approximately 1,370 km of 11 kV medium-voltage underground cables and are scheduled to be executed over the next 12 months.

The projects are aimed at converting overhead distribution networks into underground cable systems, with a particular focus on Gujarat’s coastal areas. The initiative is being undertaken under PGVCL’s State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF) scheme and its System Improvement (SI)/Urban Underground programme to strengthen grid resilience and improve power supply reliability.

Of the total order, around 645 km of cables valued at INR 98.21 crore will be supplied for the SDMF project, while approximately 725 km worth INR 97.27 crore will be supplied for the System Improvement programme. The 11 kV, 3-core aluminium XLPE armoured cables, ranging from 95 sq mm to 300 sq mm, will be manufactured at DICABS’ integrated Vadodara facility.
