On World Environment Day, Polycab India emphasized the importance of robust electrical infrastructure in supporting India’s ambitious renewable energy and sustainability goals.

Mr. Anurag Agarwal, CEO Global Exports & New Businesses, Polycab India, highlighted the critical role of electrical infrastructure in enabling India’s clean energy transition as the country accelerates investments in renewable energy, energy storage, and electric mobility.

He said, “India’s renewable energy journey is gathering unprecedented momentum. With a target of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and scaling it further to 1,800 GW by 2047, the country is undertaking one of the most ambitious energy transitions anywhere in the world. While much of the focus is rightly on generating renewable power, equal attention must be given to the infrastructure that carries that power to industries, businesses, and households.

He further added, “As investments in solar, wind, energy storage, and electric mobility continue to accelerate, the need for reliable and efficient electrical infrastructure will become increasingly critical.
