The Yamuna project under the campaign is the redevelopment and one-year adoption of Chhath Ghat, ITO, Delhi, where employee volunteers participated in a cleanup and wall-art activity designed to transform the public space while encouraging greater environmental responsibility among citizens. As part of its commitment towards long-term impact, Surya Roshni will support the maintenance and upkeep of the ghat.
Extending the campaign beyond Delhi, the company is also supporting a seven-day coastal cleanup drive across Mumbai, covering Mahim Beach, Prabhadevi Beach, Bandstand Promenade, Dadar Chowpatty, Dadar Beach, Bandra Fort and Carter Road Promenade. The initiative is focused on reducing litter in public coastal spaces while promoting responsible waste management practices among local communities.
In Kolkata, the campaign includes an environmental action drive centred around Ahiritola Ghat and surrounding public areas, encouraging citizen participation under the message of collective responsibility towards cleaner riversides and public spaces.
‘Surya Bole Safaai Ko Ya’ reflects the company’s commitment to ESG principles through meaningful, on-ground environmental action. Through employee volunteering, community participation and partnerships with implementation agencies, the initiative aims to create cleaner surroundings while fostering awareness about sustainable practices and responsible civic engagement.
