Susan Electricals is expanding its cable and winding wire manufacturing capabilities, with cable capacity expected to increase from 11,000 kilometres to 16,000 kilometres and winding wire capacity from 3,307 tonnes to 5,500 tonnes.

Susan Electricals India Limited is progressing with capacity expansion across its cable and winding wire operations, according to its Q2 and H1 FY27 investor presentation.

The company expects its cable manufacturing capacity to increase from 11,000 kilometres to 16,000 kilometres, while winding wire capacity is projected to rise from 3,307 tonnes to 5,500 tonnes. The combined expansion represents a 66% increase in capacity.

The company also stated that its Continuous Catenary Vulcanisation (CCV) line is expected to become operational within 10 days of the presentation, supporting its high-tension cable manufacturing capabilities. The presentation noted that CCV technology is now mandatory for most HT cable projects.
