The Universal Cables’ board has approved a capacity expansion project with a capital outlay of INR 550 crore. The company will also invest approx INR 73 crore in technological upgradation and modernisation of its EHV cable facility in Satna, M.P.

With this upgrade, the company will meet international quality standards, safety and environmental benchmarks and meet the growing demands of EHV cables. Additionally, the company plans to raise debt funding of INR 200 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCD).
