Hindustan Zinc Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding with Group Nirmal to set up a zinc wire manufacturing unit at the company’s Zinc Industrial Park in Bhilwara, Rajasthan.

The proposed facility will manufacture zinc wire products using Hindustan Zinc’s Special High Grade (SHG) zinc for applications across infrastructure, renewable energy, automotive and industrial engineering sectors. The partnership aims to strengthen India’s downstream zinc manufacturing ecosystem and boost value-added industrial applications.

The zinc wire products will primarily support thermal spray coating and metallising processes used in bridges, railways, transmission towers, pipelines and other steel infrastructure requiring anti-corrosion protection.
