Wire & Cable India: What will you showcase at WIRE Düsseldorf to highlight India’s technological capabilities and manufacturing excellence to a global audience?

Ashok Jain: At WIRE Düsseldorf, we highlight India’s expertise in designing and executing of turnkey projects for FRP, ARP, Optical Fibre cable and Energy cable lines, backed by automation, process know-how, and installations that meet international standards.

AJ: Yes, indeed it plays a vital role. International trade fairs like WIRE Düsseldorf are powerful platforms for machine manufacturers to access global markets. They enable Indian machinery OEMs to showcase engineering capability, automation expertise, and customization capacity directly to international customers. Such face-to-face engagement builds trust, opens export opportunities, and accelerates global partnerships.

WCI: From your participation at WIRE Düsseldorf, what key global market insights are you hoping to gain and bring back to strengthen India’s wire and cable manufacturing ecosystem?

AJ: We are trying to gauge the global momentum towards power and optic fibre cables. India is witnessing one of the biggest power cable booms in the past 40 years. We expect a lot more exposure in terms of new and potential clients, vendor associations for supplying high quality and grade material and also associations with the global companies. As we all know, India has become a hub for manufacturing. We are open for associations with global giants for manufacturing and providing services for better, economical and faster solutions for Indian as well as global clientele.

WCI: Over the years, how have you seen India’s representation evolve at international trade fairs, and how do you contribute to strengthening India’s image as a global engineering hub?

AJ: Over the years, India’s presence at international trade fairs has evolved from being cost-focused to capability-driven. We contribute by showcasing globally benchmarked machine design, automation, and execution, reinforcing India’s position as a serious and dependable global engineering hub.

AJ: Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia are key growth regions. With India as our global manufacturing base, we offer state-of-the-art machines, scalable production, faster delivery, and localized customization to support these expanding markets.

WCI: How are cost pressures across raw materials, energy, or logistics being managed without compromising product reliability or compliance?

AJ: Through design optimization, localized sourcing, and process automation. The focus is on engineering smarter—not cheaper—so reliability, compliance, and performance remain non-negotiable.

WCI: How are sustainability expectations from customers or regulators translating into changes in product design, manufacturing practices, or material choices?

AJ: Sustainability is moving from compliance to competitive advantage. We’re integrating energy-efficient designs, material optimization, and waste-reduction practices into our machines—because greener operations now matter as much as higher output. With Industry 4.0, IoT and now AI we aim to integrate the seamless usage of our machine from one centralised area without human intervention. Energy efficient components are chosen to reduce the carbon footprint of the machines during operation and production.
