Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS) has received in-principle approval from its board for a INR 170 crore capital expenditure plan to establish an Integrated Polymer Complex in Vadodara, Gujarat. The facility is planned to be developed in two phases.

The complex will manufacture PVC/FRLS compounds, silane and peroxide cross-linked XLPE compounds, and super-clean XLPE compounds for cables rated up to 400 kV. Upon completion, the facility is expected to become India’s first super-clean cable-grade polymer manufacturing facility.

The project is also expected to make DICABS the only Indian cable manufacturer with a fully integrated value chain, extending from aluminium rod production to 400 kV cable insulation.
