Prysmian has signed a definitive merger agreement to acquire US-based electrical infrastructure solutions provider Atkore, strengthening its leadership in North America and accelerating its transformation into a fully-fledged electrical solutions provider.

The acquisition will significantly expand Prysmian’s North American footprint by adding complementary products such as electrical conduits, cable management systems, armoring, framing solutions, and plastic pipes and fittings to its existing cables portfolio. The combined offering is expected to simplify procurement, speed up installation, and enhance reliability for customers investing in electrification and AI-driven infrastructure.

Prysmian said the integration will also create new opportunities for innovation by combining cables with adjacent electrical components, enabling the development of safer, more efficient, and productivity-enhancing solutions for installers and infrastructure operators.
