Lumino Industries is undertaking a three-phase expansion at its Ranihati facility, raising cable and conductor capacity to 75,000 tonnes per annum and adding HT power cable production up to 66 kV.

Lumino Industries Limited is adding 35,000 tonnes per annum of capacity at its Ranihati cable and conductor facility through a three-phase expansion programme. The first phase will add 10,000 tonnes by H2 FY27, followed by 11,000 tonnes in Q3 FY28 and a further 14,000 tonnes in Q1 FY29. Upon completion, the facility’s capacity, measured in terms of annual aluminium consumption, will increase from 40,000 tonnes to 75,000 tonnes.

The expansion will increase capacity across existing product categories and enable the manufacture of HT power cables up to 66 kV. The company said the additional capacity will support greater contribution from specialised conductors and cables, including higher-voltage products, while its EPC business will focus on substations and HTLS reconductoring opportunities.
