Systematic Industries has secured an INR 82.42 crore order from Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) for the supply, execution and erection of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) under the OPGW-06 package. The order covers transmission lines at locations across India.

POWERGRID issued the Notification of Award on August 24, 2026, with the documents signed on September 9, 2026. Under the contract, Systematic Industries will supply and install OPGW, which combines transmission-line protection with optical fibre-based communication.
The order strengthens the company’s presence in the OPGW segment, expanding its capabilities beyond its traditional wire business. Siddharth Agarwal, Managing Director, Systematic Industries, said OPGW is expected to be an important area of future growth.

Systematic Industries manufactures steel wires, aluminium-clad steel wires, optical fibre cables and OPGW for power transmission, infrastructure and telecommunications applications.
