Adani Energy Solutions has won an INR 4,700-crore transmission project in Maharashtra to evacuate 4,500 MW of renewable and storage power from Karnataka to Maharashtra.

Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has secured the INR 4,700 crore Satara Transmission Project, aimed at strengthening critical power transmission corridors between Southern and Western India and supporting the evacuation of renewable energy from Karnataka to Maharashtra.

The project will enable the evacuation of 4,500 MW of renewable and energy storage power, supporting the integration of clean generation into the grid and strengthening connectivity between regions with different patterns of power generation and demand.

As part of the project, AESL will develop a 765/400 kV substation at Satara and establish a 765 kV double-circuit transmission line between Kolhapur and Satara. The scope also includes the augmentation of the Kolhapur pooling substation.

The project will involve the development of 562 Circuit Kilometres (ckm) of transmission lines and 9,000 MVA of transformation capacity. With the addition of the project, AESL’s cumulative transmission network will reach 29,739 ckm, with an aggregate transformation capacity of 1,43,425 MVA.
