Lanka SSL unveils new product range in Indian market, eyes global expansion for diversification.

Sri Lanka’s leading manufacturers of galvanised steel wire, Lanka Special Steels Limited, chose Hyderabad to open their first-ever overseas office. The pioneer in Lanka’s GI wire Industry, having a rich history of 25 years, recently inaugurated its Hyderabad office.
LSSL also introduced its flagship international brands, ‘Lanka Special Steels Poultry 300’ and ‘Lanka Special Steels Premium 100,’ targeting niche markets in India, particularly in the poultry and fencing sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. SDR Arudpragasam, Chairman of EB Creasy Group, said that Lanka SSL, as the market leader in Sri Lanka, has established itself as a global player in the industry. He also emphasised the importance of global expansion and diversification.

He said Lanka SSL will contribute in no small measures to the growing needs in the poultry industry in India by providing a high-quality product. This will help the tenderfoots in the poultry market to make their capital investment with a long-life guarantee, added Mr. Arudpragasam.
Utilising high-quality raw materials from reputed suppliers like JSW Steel, TATA Steel, and Hindustan Zinc, Lanka Special Steels ensures top-notch finished products. Their galvanised steel wires cater to various industries, including poultry industry, chain-link fencing, and more.
Mr. Pravin De Silva, Director and CEO of Lanka Special Steels, said, “Our products are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility with a capacity of 30,000 MT per annum and hold SLS and BIS certifications.”

Uday Singh Bayas and Chakradhara Rao from the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association endorsed the product quality, adding credibility to the launch.
Lanka SSL has received recognition at the National Convention on Quality and Productivity (NCQP) Awards 2010 to 2023. Their galvanised steel wire, backed by a 25-year service life guarantee at its best conditions, is validated by research conducted by the premier leading University in Sri Lanka, the University of Moratuwa.
