Diamond Power Infrastructure has secured INR 116.49 crore of orders for 11 kV power cables for underground distribution projects across Gujarat’s Bhavnagar and Ahmedabad regions.

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS), a manufacturer of power cables and conductors under the DICABS brand, has secured orders worth INR 116.49 crore, including GST, for the supply of 11 kV XLPE-insulated medium-voltage power cables for underground distribution projects in Gujarat.

The orders cover approximately 655 km of 11 kV three-core aluminium XLPE cables in 300, 240, 95 and 70 sq mm sizes. They have been received directly from a Gujarat-based EPC contractor executing underground cabling projects for state power distribution companies in the Bhavnagar and Ahmedabad regions.
The cables will be manufactured at DICABS’ integrated plant near Vadodara, which draws aluminium from the company’s own rod mills. Supplies will be made in lots against manufacturing clearances and will be subject to utility-specified inspection and testing.
Commenting on the orders, Mr. Kavish Shah, Vice President, Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited, said that Gujarat’s distribution utilities are taking large parts of their urban networks underground to improve reliability and resilience, with medium-voltage cables forming a key part of the programme.

He added that securing four orders in a single day for projects across Bhavnagar and Ahmedabad reflects the confidence of EPC contractors and utilities in DICABS’ quality, testing standards and delivery capabilities. Following the implementation of its resolution plan and exit from the NCLT framework, the company is scaling up its MV and EHV cable business and building a diversified order book.
