The Adani Group has outlined its expansion plans in the power and transmission sectors, with Adani Power set to invest over INR 2 lakh crore over the next five years to expand its generation capacity to 45 GW.

The company currently has an ongoing capital expenditure programme of around INR 72,000 crore for projects under implementation. The broader investment will support future capacity additions while creating significant opportunities across the power equipment, EPC, and transmission infrastructure segment.
Announcing the expansion roadmap, Adani Group Chairman Mr. Gautam Adani said the investment will strengthen India’s energy and transmission infrastructure, support new thermal power projects, and cater to rising electricity demand driven by industrial growth.

The planned capacity addition will significantly expand Adani Power’s generation portfolio, reinforcing its position as India’s largest private thermal power producer while accelerating investments across India’s power generation and transmission ecosystem.
