Mukand Limited has announced the demerger of its subsidiary, Mukand Sumi Metal Processing Limited (MSMPL), as per the stock exchange filing. The subsidiary was engaged in the production of stainless steel cold finished bars and wires. This business includes a comprehensive range of downstream operations such as normalizing, annealing, drawing, peeling, grinding, pickling, and coating processes.

The move, approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), involves transferring MSMPL’s entire stainless steel cold finished bars and wires segment to the parent company, Mukand Limited. The demerged unit contributed approximately INR 655.23 crore in revenue, and its integration into Mukand Limited is expected to streamline operations, improve management focus, reduce redundancy, and enhance shareholder value as part of an overall strategy.
