Wire & Cable India: Tell me briefly about the company EJP?

Mariano Pitassi: EJP is a German company that deals with combined drawing machines, peeling machines, wire straightening machines and equipment for the cold finishing processes. We work in the field of steel, copper, brass, titanium, and other special metals. We are here in this exhibition to bring our German technology to India, supported by a reliable agent as Kemtech.

We have some new technological improvements in our machinery and the most recent are the improvement of the automatic systems fabricated in the combined drawing machines and in the peeling machines. We are continuously working to improve the performances and reliability of our equipment.

WCI: How long have you been into the Indian market?

MP: EJP started its business in 1981, starting as a consultant for other companies and growing continuously until today’s size. We started to work in the Indian market in 2007 with the supply of a combined drawing machine.

WCI: Can you please repeat the name of machines?

MP: Combined drawing machinery, peeling machinery, and straightening machines. The straightening machines can be further classified into two-roll bar straightening machines, multi-roll straightening machines, and other type of straightening machines for sections and tubes.

WCI: What kind of industry are you referring to?

MP: Drawn bars producers, automotive industry, aerospace industry, and general machinery industry; We produce all the cold finishing equipment downstream of the rolling mills or extrusion presses so that the final product can be directly used in the industry.

WCI: Enquiries concerns all the metals or are there some exceptions?

MP: Of course, the majority of the requirement comes from the steel industry, but we are very often dealing with the copper, brass, aluminum industries, and more recently the titanium industry.

WCI: Your experience about the Indian market

MP: At this moment, we have considerable enquiries from the Indian market. It is a very interesting market as other markets around the world have either completely stopped or slowed down much whereas India is still alive. We therefore are very much interested in this market.
