Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has sought an assistance of Rs. 9,000 crore from the World Bank for five projects including Balpahari Dam, low tension distribution network in Jharkhand, solar power and upgradation of transmission and distribution network.
DVC is not into low tension power distribution so far, and it would be its foray into the segment by setting up network in eight districts of Jharkhand at an estimated cost of Rs. 3,000 crore.
