WCI: What are your thoughts on the current scenario of the wire and cable industry? What are the challenges present in the industry?

SK: With focus on infrastructure development by the Government, we foresee a huge potential for the Indian cable industry as it has been reiterated that the next decade is India’s decade. One of the biggest challenges faced by the industry is availability of premium quality products. It’s time for the manufacturers to increase their capex with focus on premium quality machines with high production capacity and latest automation. If the manufacturers are not able to overcome these challenges, it will increase the costs, and reduce the quality of the products and it might result in delayed deliveries.
