NGEL-NTPC Limited Signs MoU with Nayara Energy to Explore & Develop Green Hydrogen & Green Energy Applications in India

NTPC Green Energy Limited, part of NTPC Limited, signed an MoU with Nayara Energy to explore opportunities in green hydrogen and green energy space, such as production, captive usage, etc.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, and Nayara Energy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore opportunities in the green hydrogen and green energy space.

The MoU envisages collaborating and producing green hydrogen for Nayara Energy’s captive usage, accelerating decarbonization and catalyzing reduction in carbon footprint. This collaboration is in line with NTPC’s initiatives to develop hydrogen projects in India and aligns with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohit Bhargava, Chief Executive Officer of NGEL, Mr. Amar Kumar, Head-Technical of Nayara Energy, and other senior officials of NTPC, NGEL, and Nayara Energy.
